AK is getting into minis with the release of a US airborne set of 10 28mm/30mm minis. These look to be highly detailed figures which AK says are compatible with Bolt Action. The figures come in a starter set that includes 14 paints selected by Eduardo Fernández plus an exclusive figure. This first paint set within the “Fortunate Sons” series is designed to paint figures of the 101st and 82nd paratrooper units and the reinforced M42 uniform, with which they participated in D-Day. The exclusive miniature is a radio operator member of the 101st. These are lovely figures which would make a great addition to any US airborne force. Be very interesting to see what AK does next with the Fortunate Sons range.
