New Free Indian Legion Figures

Askari miniatures has released a squad of Free Indian Legion figures in their WW2 Africa Korps range.

The Free India Legion (Legion Freies Indien), was also known as Infantry Regiment 950 (Indian) (Infanterie-Regiment 950 (indisches), I.R. 950); and from 1944 the Indian Volunteer Legion of the Waffen-SS (Indische Freiwilligen Legion der Waffen-SS). It was known also as the "Tiger Legion" because of its origins in the Indian independence movement.

The Free India Legion was initially raised as an assault group that would form a pathfinder to a German-Indian joint invasion of the western frontiers of British India, but few were used in that way. The unit served in North Africa, France and the Netherlands as well as a company in Italy.

The squad consist of 9 figures, including 1 smg, 6 rifles and lmg & loader.
